1. About these terms

These terms apply to the Saifo app for iPhone and iPad and to saifo.app. Saifo (“we”) is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By downloading or using Saifo, you agree to these terms.

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) also applies to your use of the app: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

2. For families

Saifo is made for children aged 5–12 and is used with a parent's consent. A parent or guardian accepts these terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for how the app is used in the family. Parent settings live in the PIN-protected Parent corner.

3. Saif is an AI

Saif's conversations and homework explanations are created by artificial intelligence, and Saif can make mistakes: an answer may be wrong, incomplete or unexpected. Saif is not a teacher, doctor or counsellor, and his answers are not professional advice. Parents should supervise their children's use, check important information, and use the Report button in the conversation history if a reply isn't right.

Homework help is there to help your child understand, not to replace their own effort or their teacher.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

• Saifo is free to download, with limited free use: 5 minutes of talk in total, 1 bedtime story, 3 homeworks, 3 reminders and each game once.
• Saifo Premium is an auto-renewing subscription: AED 49 a month or AED 490 a year. Premium includes 20 minutes of talk a day, up to 70 minutes a week. Prices may vary by country and are shown in the App Store before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• The subscription comes with a 3-day free trial for eligible subscribers, with all stories, games and homework help, plus 5 minutes of talk with Saif for the whole trial. The trial turns into a paid subscription unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time after purchase in your Apple ID account settings (Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions).
• Extra minutes are one-time purchases for Premium subscribers and do not renew: +20 minutes for today (AED 10) and +70 minutes for this week (AED 30). Today's minutes can be used until midnight, and this week's until the week ends.
• Every purchase in the app sits behind a grown-up question.
• You can restore your purchases on another device with the same Apple ID using “Restore purchases” on the subscribe page.
• All payments are handled by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Acceptable use

Please use Saifo kindly and as intended. Do not:

• try to make Saif say harmful, hateful or inappropriate things, or use the app to bully or harass anyone;
• share other people's personal information, or send photos that are not homework to the homework helper;
• copy, resell, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app, its content or our servers, or try to get around talk-time limits or purchases;
• use Saifo for anything unlawful.

6. Content

The Saif character and the app's design, art, voices and text belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. Some stories and games are based on public-domain or openly licensed works and are used under their licences; their credits are in the app under Parent corner, then “About & licences”.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data Saifo handles and how parents stay in control.

8. Availability and changes

Saifo needs an internet connection. We work to keep it running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we may update, change or remove features.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Saifo is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date, and continuing to use Saifo afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
